a) Setting up
appropriate equipment
|
When
we set up equipment we made sure we ran a check through of the equipment.
when setting up the camera we made sure that it had full charge and an empty
SD card put into it. We also made sure that when we set up the tripod and the
light they were placed on stable ground. all the equipment was transported in
their respected bags to ensure they did not get damaged.

b)
Following script
|
We
stuck to the script throughout the whole of the film, however there were some
sections were we recorded alternate dialog which we thought up on the spot.
Once we finished filming and began editing we realised however that the film
did not have a strong enough ending so we had to write and film a new ending.

c)
Following safe working practices
|
before
any filming was done we filled out recce forms, and risk assessment forms.
These were essential to making sure that we filmed in a safe working environment
and did not put ourselves or the actors in any danger.
|
d)
Following production process
|
When
working on the film we made sure that we stuck closely to the production
process. This meant we created and stuck to a calendar of when we were going
to be filming and editing. This was especially important for our film as we
had to film in locations off campus meaning we all had to meet at the correct
times to make sure we could make the most out of our filming time.
Even
though we had a calendar, some deadlines were not reached on time due to our
actors only being available at certain times and dates. This was only a
couple of days over and we got permission due to the circumstances.

How the shots went:
When filming the film we stuck to the script very tightly. I think this tightness caused a bit of a downfall with the film itself. I think that a lot of the shots themselves look good and the focus and cinematography works well however the way in which it was filmed makes the dialogue feel very un-natural. If we re-filmed the film i think we should have recorded the dialogue with both actors saying their lines even when they weren't both in shot, this would have given the dialogue more flow and would have meant we could listen out if anything didn't sound natural. Another problem which we came across was that one of the actors turned up to the shoot in clothing that they did not wear in previous shoots. This led to some continuity errors which we attempted to fix with Flynn's jacket however it is still noticeable. The story however is still captured well and with editing the shots are salvageable.
